Loads of Emma Watson News

Perhaps you’ve heard she’s the new face of Chanel perfume? Only it isn’t signed in blood just yet. Apparently she’s in talks with Chanel and it leaked out and was reported as a sure-thing. That’ll be a nice gig if she gets it, no? And by the by, the current face of Chanel perfume is… Keira Knightly. Who do you prefer? And do you even care? I mean, Chanel perfume… me thinks it’s a bit too stinky.

And then there is that ever so small film series she’s been in and the new trailer is now online for the sixth film:

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

It. Looks. So. Good.

And just an FYI: Young Voldemort is played by Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, the 10-year-old nephew of Ralph Fiennes, who has played Lord Voldemort. That is him to the right. He's cute, no? It opens November 21.

She was also nominated by Disney in the UK for the Greenest Star Award for her work with the Wild Trout Trust (!) alongside such biggies as Madonna, Johnny Depp, Stella McCartney, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

But also there is one mo’ thing: Emma has starred in a British adaptation of a very beloved 1929 book called Ballet Shoes and it’s coming to DVD the first week of September. It aired in the UK the day after Christmas on BBC One. Did any of you Brit Girlsense members see it? Is it good? It looks so good to me! The hair! The clothes! The dancing! The soap opera drama!

I really do love the sound of it—three orphans in 1930s London are taken in by a rich guy and handed off to his orphaned niece. He names each one of them with a “P” – Pauline, Petrova and Posy but then the Unc goes a missing. They struggle, fumble and go after their dreams. Besides the lovely Emma, it stars Yasmin Paige who is pretty well known in the UK for her show The Sarah Jane Adventures, and the adorable Lucy Boynton who was in that Beatrice Potter movie that starred Renee Zellweger. I posted the trailer, below, and if you check it out — and you should — do you recognize anyone else, like say perhaps, the Uncle?

And whoa, do you like her as a blonde?
