It's filming right now in LA! It will of course be on the Disney Channel, it's a comedy,and it's called Sonny with a Chance. She stars as a Midwestern teen who moves to LA when she is cast in a sketch comedy series. Scheduled to launch in early 2009 on Disney Channel US, Sonny with a Chance will then begin rolling out on Disney Channels worldwide. Nancy McKeon (Facts of Life) will play the recurring role as Sonny's mom. Here's what TV.com had to say about it:
This live-action sitcom stars Demi Lovato as a 15-year-old who finds recent stardom when she is discovered at a nationwide casting call for a teen sketch comedy series. The show captures the effects of her fame on her home and work life and also includes sketches from the show-within-the-show. Sonny with a Chance also stars Tiffany Thornton as Tawni Hart (she's guested on Hannah and Wizards), Brandon Mychal Smith as Nico (he was on Phil of the Future), Doug Brochu as Grady (he's guested on iCarly) and Allisyn Ashley Arm as Zora (she's been acting she was 6).
This show was formerly titled "Welcome to Mollywood".
