Now here is a weird award to win. But nonetheless cool. Avril Lavigne was given the Certificate of Honor from the China Association of Social Workers in Beijing last Monday. Apparently Avril has helped to raise funds for poor families and children with disabilities in China during her Best Damn Tour. She has even presented gifts to children from China’s earthquake-ravaged Sichuan province. The last stop on her world tour? Beijing’s Wukesong Indoor Stadium. I think that's pretty cool. Hey, and last week she turned 24. Happy Belated Birthday!
