So I used to work with a guy who put this event on. He was a bit of a dolt, but the event was awesome. Basically it's a fashion show for new, young designers, but they really curate (as in pick) super cool stuff. Mandy Moore hosted the event this year, she herself a young designer of cool tees and cotton dresses.
These outfits above are from Michelle Williams, who designs under the label Quail. She paired her flirty dresses with Payless shoes (from the alice + olivia collection) which is so darn cool. Too high for me, but I like to see some affordable stuff on the runway. Anyway, Rebecca Taylor and Zac Posen were both sort of launched or first seen on the Gen Art runway so this is a cool thing.
