OK, I know, maybe you're too old for dolls, but I don't care, I'm reporting this anyway because I know some of you are still WAY WAY fond of your AG dolls.
You know how American Girl puts out a new doll at the beginning of every year? 2009 is no diff. Chrissa is the latest, a spunky character who will help teach young girls how to stand up to bullies.
As with all of the other American Girl dolls, Chrissa has two tie-in books, they are both written by Mary Casanova and focus on how Chrissa stands up for herself after moving to a new school.
There will also be a Chrissa-themed non-fiction book released by American Girl called “Stand Up for Yourself & Your Friends: Dealing with Bullies and Bossiness and Finding a Better Way. The book will provide tips, quizzes and true-to-life stories of other girls who have overcome bullying. I know you all could use advice on that!
