Reader TheFrayIsAwesome wrote to me to sing the praises of one Mani Perkins. I hadn't heard of her so I checked her out and she sounds a lot like someone you probably don't know named Natalie Merchant. Natalie was popular in the 90s with her band 10,000 Maniacs. Anyway, that comparison is a good thing because Natalie M.'s voice was cool-cool-cool. And well, so is Mandi's.
