A CHARMING CHALICE
What’s a chalice, you ask? It’s a fancy word for a cup, and it is often also referred to as a goblet. Now you can make your friend of loved one a fancy, one-of-a-kind chalice in no time at all. It makes for a silly little gift, but honestly, it’s fairly useful. Even if your pal doesn’t want to drink from it, they can use it to stash their coins or jewelry in on their nightstand.
What You Need:
* The most ornate and large plastic stemmed cup you can find (try party supply stores).
* Good multi-purpose glue.
* Paint pens or, if you have a steady hand, some acrylic paint and a thin brush.
* Any number of sequins, beads, pipe cleaners, buttons, ribbons, non-toxic glitter, fake flowers, and the like.
The How-To:
Super basic. Start by writing your friend’s name in fancy script-like font on the cup. Then start gluing stuff to the cup. Decorate till you can barely see the cup anymore! Wind a ribbon or pipe cleaner up around the stem. Add bows. Lovely faux flowers. Glitter. Cover that thing in crafty goodness. Let it dry and wrap it up in tissue paper to protect it till you give it away.
